HAGIWARA PROJECTS is pleased to present Gallery show: Iridescent, opening on Friday, June 20. The exhibition features previously unseen works by our represented artists, as well as recent pieces that have not yet been shown at the gallery. This exhibition centers on painting while also featuring works in photography and other media. Through these varied expressions, the show highlights each artist’s current interests and areas of exploration. Viewers will encounter experimental pieces and segments of ongoing series that have not been previously presented in solo exhibitions, offering insight into the broader scope of each artist’s practice. 　The title Iridescent refers to the phenomenon of shifting colors that appear depending on the angle of light, symbolizing the diversity of the works on view and the unique brilliance of each artist’s perspective. We invite you to experience the subtle dialogues between the works and the new relationships that unfold within the exhibition space.

Ryota Nojima

Born in Tokyo in 1987. Graduated from Musashino Art University, Department of Painting, Oil Painting Course, in 2012. Gabriel Hartley

Born in London, UK in 1981. BA in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art and Design, London, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Fine Art from the Royal Academy Schools, London. Yoko Terauchi

Studied at Post Graduate, Advanced Sculpture course in St. Martin’s Schoold of Art in 1979-1981. 1979-1998, Lived and worked in London. Since 1999, she lives and works in Tokyo. Nukata Nobuhiko

Born in Osaka Prefecture in 1963. Tamotsu Kido

Born in 1974 in Mie Prifecture, Japan. Received an MA from the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Aichi University of the Arts, in 2002. Born in Nara-prefecture in 1974. Completed postgraduate studies at Tokyo Zokei University in 2002.
